- IMO and ILO safety codes for ship recycling, hot work permits, confined space entry rules and worker protection plans.
- MARPOL and port waste rules for oils, sludge, bilge water, refrigerants and ozone depleting substances.
- IFC and World Bank EHS guidelines used by many investors for environmental and social risk plans.
- Third party inspection and due diligence by BV, SGS, Intertek or similar agencies for condition and compliance checks.
- Import permits for scrap metals in the buyer country, radiation clearance where needed and pre shipment inspection if the buyer asks.
- Export papers: commercial invoice, packing list, weighbridge slips, certificate of origin, test or grade papers and bill of lading.
- Insurance and financial compliance: letter of credit or bank transfer papers, sanctions screening and end user statements if needed.
