• EU Ship Recycling Regulation rules if the vessel is EU flagged or the buyer asks for EU compliant practice.
• IMO and ILO safety codes for ship recycling, hot work permits, confined space entry rules and worker protection plans.
• MARPOL and port waste rules for oils, sludge, bilge water, refrigerants and ozone depleting substances.
• IFC and World Bank EHS guidelines used by many investors for environmental and social risk plans.
• Third party inspection and due diligence by BV, SGS, Intertek or similar agencies for condition and compliance checks.
• Import permits for scrap metals in the buyer country, radiation clearance where needed and pre shipment inspection if the buyer asks.
